Walthers 920-104521 Georgia Railroad 50′ Sieco Pulpwood Flatcar #56020
Based on a prototype constructed by the Southern Iron and Equipment Company (SIECO) beginning in the 1960s, these purpose-built cars served well into the 2000s hauling pulpwood between the pulp landings in the woods and the paper mills. The open cars featured a V-sloped deck and tall bulkheads at each end of the car to keep the load in place. This is a one-time run of these roadnumbers. The model features:
- Separately applied ladders
- Factory-installed grab irons
- Heavy die-cast metal frame
- Proto MAX(TM) metal knuckle couplers
- Correct 36” RP-25 turned-metal wheelsets
